The Control Unit is the main component of the CCS 1000 D Digital Discussion System. It supplies DC power to all connected Discussion Devices (CCSD‑DS/ CCSD‑DL) and monitors and controls the discussion system. • Up to 80 Discussion Devices can be connected to a single Control Unit; the system can be expanded to a maximum of 245 Discussion Devices by using Extension Units (CCSD‑EXU). • Touch‑button control allows for easy configuration and operation of the unit, while intuitive LED indicators give a clear indication of the system settings. • Conveniently positioned connections at the rear of the unit enable peripheral equipment to be connected to the discussion system, such as audio equipment, Ethernet switches, video switches, Bosch HD Conference Domes, and a PC or laptop. • An intuitive web browser interface control allows basic and advanced system settings to be easily viewed and changed, as required. There are two types of Control Unit: the CCSD‑CU and the CCSD‑CURD. • The CCSD‑CURD Control Unit has MP3 recording and Digital Acoustic Feedback Suppression (DAFS). • Four RCA outputs at the rear of the CCSD‑CURD ensure that it is optimized for use in courtrooms, i.e. for recording individual speakers.

The CCS700 Ultro Discussion System is suitable for use in meetings and conference venues with a limited number of participants. The Control Unit (CU) is the heart of the CCS700 Ultro Discussion System and supplies the power for all delegate and chairman units in the system. The unit also controls the chairman and delegate unit microphones, as well as providing interfaces for external audio equipment. The CCS700 discussion system is a plug and play solution for the audio conference requirements. Functions Discussion control The CCSE-CU(CU) supports almost any kind of small or medium meeting. For business discussions and small conferences, two to six microphones can be active simultaneously, with the chairman always having speaker priority.The active microphone selection knob on the rear panel can be used to select the number of active participants. Unused microphones are switched off automatically after 65 seconds if delegates forget to switch off their units. Supplies power for up to 50 Discussion units The CU has two trunk outputs for the loop through connection of discussion units. It is possible to connect a maximum of 25 discussion units to each trunk output in open loop configuration.Maximum trunk length supported by CU is 100m in open loop configuration. For closed loop configuration with 50 discussion units the loop length can be extended upto 200meter. A maximum of 50 discussion units can be connected to a CU.

The CCS700 Ultro discussion system is suitable for use in meetings and conference venues with a limited number of participants. The CCSE-DL delegate units enable participants to actively take part in the meeting proceedings. A builtin microphone allows them to speak to the other delegates, and they can listen to the discussion using the built-in loudspeaker or (optional) personal headphones. Functions Microphone with flexible stem and light ring The microphone has a flexible stem, which is easily adjustable to suit personal preferences. It also allows two people to use the same delegate unit as they can pull the microphone towards them, when it is required to speak.The microphone is fixed to the base of the delegate unit.Incorporated into the head of the microphone is a light ring which illuminates red when the microphone is on. Built‑in loudspeaker Loudspeaker volume is set centrally at the control unit for all delegate units. Audio Interfaces The CU can be interfaced with different type of devices like external audio recorder,sound reinforcement system,external microphones and external music player.The headphone output on the front of the CU can be used by a secretary for taking the minutes of the meeting, the headphone output also has a volume control knob to adjust the volume of the headphone. To support external participants (during town-council meetings, for example), extra microphones in any style (wired, wireless, handheld or podium) can be connected to the system through mic inputs.

Discussion modes One of the following microphone modes can be selected by pressing the ‘Microphone-mode’ button on the front of the Control Unit: • Open mode – Participants can speak by pressing their microphone buttons. When the maximum number of open microphones is reached, the next participant that presses their microphone button is added to a waiting list. The first participant in the ‘waiting list’ is allowed to speak when an activated microphone is disabled. • Override mode – Participants can override each other by pressing their microphone buttons. When the maximum number of open microphones is reached, the next participant that presses their microphone button will deactivate the microphone that has been activated for the longest time (the chairperson’s microphone is not included in the number of open microphones and, therefore, cannot be overridden by a participant). • Voice activation mode – Participants can activate their microphones by speaking into them. A microphone can be temporarily muted by pressing and holding down the microphone button. • Push to talk (PTT) mode – Participants can speak by pushing and holding in their microphone buttons. The microphone is deactivated when the microphone button is released. The maximum number of participants that can speak is determined by the number of open microphones
